Students in online courses taught through the College of Business and Computing should be prepared to take online proctored exams.  To test successfully through ProctorU students should have adequate internet and a computer, with functioning camera and audio.  Testing in the GSW Library, campus labs or Canes Wi-Fi is not possible at this time.  Students in Residence Halls have the capability to test through ProctorU using their personal computer equipment and GSW ResNet access.   

 

Having a correctly configured computer will help ensure your success in eMajor. You must have reliable internet access and run the browser check and computer check from the GoVIEW login page to ensure compatibility. Check the information at https://emajor.usg.edu/future-students/technical-requirements.php to be sure that your computer meets all the necessary technical requirements for hardware and software. Links to the plug-ins (special free software) that you will need are provided.

For technical assistance contact the 24/hour helpline at https://d2lhelp.view.usg.edu/ (scroll down to the Student Support area).

For ProctorU assistance contact Lisa Hensley at 229-314-7757.  Students must have access to a webcam for proctored exams using ProctorU. 

For general assistance with technical issues related to technology components outside of D2L GoVIEW (i.e. software, equipment, web browser, etc.), you may contact GSW's COBAC's technical support resource at sobatech@gsw.edu.
