Georgia Southwestern is proud to offer the on-campus ACT. This program allows students the opportunity to take the ACT on the Southwestern campus and use that score for entrance into Georgia Southwestern State University only. The cost of the test is $55 and is payable on the morning of testing with cash or check. Students wanting to pay with credit card must do so at the Student Accounts Office, located in the Marshall Student Center or by calling 229-931-2013. Payments are accepted from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Thursday and until 2:00 PM on Friday. If possible, the student should bring their receipt showing payment to testing.
The on-campus ACT Residual will be offered on the following dates:
Due to COVID-19, SAT/ACT scores are no longer required for Summer/Fall 2021 freshmen or dual enrollment admission. Therefore we have suspended the offerings of the Residual ACT. If you feel you need to take the ACT, please contact Luke Ellis at luke.ellis@gsw.edu. We will be offering the Residual ACT on an as-needed basis as students contact us.
Testing will test place in the Administration Building, students will be report to the Admissions Office. The test will take approximately 3 1/2 hours. Students must have photo identification and are encouraged to bring an ACT approved calculator. Students are also encouraged to prepare for the test by using the information found at the ACT website, http://www.act.org/content/act/en/products-and-services/the-act/test-preparation.html. Please contact the GSW Testing Center at 229-931-2085 if accommodations are required for the on-campus Residual ACT.
